Types Of Testing Which Can Be Completed

Lap and interlamination shear strength tests are carried out on site, plus short beam flexural stress and climbing drum honeycomb peel tests all carried out utilising the capability of the Hounsfield Testing machine, pressures of up to 10,000 lbf (5000 kgf) can be applied.

Full reports are able to be provided through the use of QMAT software linked to the machine.

Full temperature and pressure results are recorded from the Autoclave process. These are recorded and compiled to provide a full process record of material moulding.

(DMA) Dynamic Mechanical Analysers can be used to see how rigid the composite is. From this it can be seen how the mechanical performance of the composite varies through the temperature ranges which are carried out.
